Ward Timber’s annual hearing test and flu shots will be given at the sawmill on Friday, November 20, 2009.  Blood glucose testing, blood pressure check, cholesterol check and fitness test will all be available at no cost to all Ward Timber employees. We will also be doing fire extinguisher training that day.  —LP

 

Friday, August 21, 2009 Buddy and Susan Whatley were blessed by the birth of their baby boy.  Ethan Whatley weighed in at 8 pounds and 21 1/4 inches long.  We wanted to be sure and welcome Ethan to this world and to send our Congratulations to the Whatley family!  —BL     

        

 

 

 

Who will take home the $$ for the biggest buck this year?  Rifle season as you know starts November 7, 2009 which will kick off our contest.  The rules for the contest are as follows: 

1) $20 fee per hunter

2) Deadline for entry is Friday, November 6, 2009

3) If no bucks are killed the entry money will be returned to participants.

4) Hunter(s) must produce TAGGED antlers at main office in Linden by 5:00PM Monday, January 4, 2010.  (this is the deadline!)

5) Deer must be killed in East Texas, Louisiana or Arkansas.  (not West Texas)

6) Winner decided by points, spread and mass, total # of points/width of outside spread/length of longest main beam all added together.

7) Ties to be decided by an independent panel of judges appointed by Bill Ward.

8) Bill Ward may change rules without notice.
